Salt Lake City to Bryce and CLEAR BLUE SKIES!!!!

Wonderful drive on 70 to 89 and past the red rocks into Bryce Canyon! Wonderful campsite at Rudys RV resort and campground, enjoyed a swim and the hot tub tonight. Have a ranger guided 3 1/2 hr bus tour in the morning that picks up from the campground and then a ATV sunset guided ride in the evening. Wonderful weather and dry air and blue skies ......glad we get three nights here!

Idaho is a great surprise! Now in northern Utah on way to Bryce!

We have found Idaho to be wonderful and quite a great place to spend more time......Lovely countryside and relaxed open spaces.

Back in the USA after almost 2 months in BC and Alberta - Idaho!

We left Waterton early the a.m. - last nite the National Park notified everyone of an evacuation warming saying that an uncontrolled fire in the distance would possible require a mandatory evacuation requiring all to leave within 1 hr. / thankfully that didn't come to pass, so we left on schedule and quite glad to be leaving the area.
We crossed over the border just north of Bonners Ferry, Idaho and had to give up a sweet potato, lemon and two bell peppers and firewood and our Moroccan lamb sausages( which was going to be for dinner!).
Needless the say I will be better prepared to re-enter the USA next time! IT really is quite complex but I plan to call and get the current month sheet before our next trip. Not a problem really.

We are camping in Bonners Ferry, Idaho and dismayed that smoke filled views  from wildfires are even in Northern Idaho. As a result, not many photos to share today......we drive south to UTAH in the morning!

Last day in Waterton National Park and Electric 🚴 ride!

Thoroughly enjoyed 2 hrs. Bike riding along trails and car free roads in the park. The big tired power assist bikes made it easy to tackle the uphills and so much fun! We saw Rocky Mountain big horn sheep for the first time, wild. Plus the bear in the picture by John is only a sign.
Onto Bonners Ferry, Idaho - so long to 🇨🇦, we hope to return someday to the Rockies.

Waterton Lake, smoke has returned , boat ride

We are grateful for one full day of clear skies at least, the wildfires to the south in Glacier National Park and north west in B.C are causing the entire region to be hazy. I used to think the wind blew out the smoke but here it blows it in!
We are having fun and loving this area, hope to take an e-bike ride today and then depart Canada after 2 months to cross the border and stay in Bonners Ferry, Idaho tomorrow! The drive is all new to me and we are planning a guided ATV ride in Bryce and guided shuttle tour in Zion. We have a week to explore the area and then down to Vegas to see dear old friends and visit with my brother. LIfe is Grand!
Another wonderful example of our small world....last night we ate out and while paying the bill, we discovered the owners of the restaurant who had owned and operated the place for over 20 years, lived less than an hour from us in Florida and drove back and forth with their fifth wheel every year!

Waterton National Park - Alberta, Canada 🇨🇦

Left Fernie this morning and now in Waterton for 3 nights. Beautfiul park with a charming small village on the lake, fairly remote area with relatively small crowds and peaceful feeling.
Walkable, boat rides and e-bikes! Finally, blue, fairly smoke free skies! Heavenly area.
