Alaska Marine Highway Ferry from Prince Rupert to Skagway

I am sending this post from Juneau as we are docked for a few hours before we move up to Skagway and get off the boat later this afternoon! We are loving this experience. The 0300 hrs. departure was a bit tough but all in all, we learned taxi's can find you in the dark in a campground and things work out.
Our 4 berth cabin is great with two large windows, bath and sitting area. While not luxurious it is quite comfortable and the ship has lots of great viewing areas - the scenery is breathtaking and I keep going inside then out to catch photo's. Photo's don't catch the vastness, splender and colors in this part of Alaska. We will spend two nights in a hotel in downtown Skagway and then board the ferry to Juneau where we will spend two nights in a hotel as well. Then we get back on the overnight ferry and return to Prince Rupert for an 11pm arrival!
The weather is cool and while we have limited visibility at times, this experience is great!
