Delayed holiday greetings from Prince George, B.C

Hello All! We experienced life without cell signal and wifi at the same time for 4 days....it was a new experience but we survived. We enjoyed visiting a restored Gold Rush town recreated to look and feel like the 1860's. Learned a lot about gold mining and the west coast in general. We are restocking, doing laundry etc. today and will head off again in the morning to spend 4 days on a lake in a small area just south of Burns. we plan to rent a boat and fish! Yes, we did buy our licenses before we left.
We did see bears twice, while driving near the lastcampground and signs are everywhere alerting folks to bears in the area. We are enjoying meeting folks from all over the world, camping and enjoying the great North American continent. We are also enjoying the great Indian and Thai food items in the local big town grocery stores. Here in Prince George, a town of 90,000 folks where people come from 900km away to do the big shopping, we feel like we never left the US with Costco, Home Depot, marshalls, Michaels etc. We also enjoy the current exchange rate with one Canadian dollar costing approx. 80 cents U.S.
