Banff Village sights and great meals!

I have thoroughly enjoyed the different foods and items in local grocery stores.....wide varieties of Indian and Thai foods, spices etc. plus beverages of all kinds I don't see in Florida!
I thoroughly enjoyed a new Greek wine and included a photo of the Klima Klima white wine so I can find again, perhaps at total wines. Sushi train bars are always a treat. It was a culinary splurge day and now back to home cooking in our trailer ( BBQ, stove, miscrowave etc.).
The smoke filled skies are now here to stay it appears as the fires in B.C. will continue until we have more rain or winter. We call our stays in Jasper and Banff, the Just Imagine trip because you can't make anything out clearly......We want to return to clearer skies. We go to Fernie tomorrow and then onto Watertown National Park just north of the border for 3 nites. This will end our British Columbia and Alberta, Canada trip and then we head down thru Idaho, Utah, Arizona and Nevada to see dear old Baumholder, Germany friends all gathering in Vegas! We will stop in Bryce and Zion for quick views too, since it's on the way!

  1. The fires are frightening. Imagination will have to suffice, just pray you don’t come too close to the fires and that they die out soon. Safe travels

  2. Thank you....we have decided to take an alternate route leaving Banff in the morning to avoid any potential problems...we monitor the road condition sites daily!

  3. Ode to your trip (poem I wrote when I was 12):
    When there's a breeze
    on Lake Louise,
    there's one in Banff
    and Calgar'ese'!

Wish a breeze would blow the smoke away. What a drag! Cheers to your wonderful trip!
